No updates from now until about 11 tonight, I am going to a show with family and friends with dinner first,
so I am out of here. Until them surf the links directly to your left. Also, if you get sports illustrated
read Rick Reilly's new column titled Orders from Qatar: Play On! Another quick link... check out the Belly-Flop
Photo essay if you havn't already. And lastly, a map of Iraq:
03.27.03 Michael Savage just made an interesting point
on TV about the coverage of the war. He talked about CNN showing a column of unprotected supply trucks
driving in the desert world-wide. It reminded him of the loose lips sink ship posters from WW2. He has a
good point, Iraqi forces wouldn't know about this column except for the fact that CNN is showing it on TV
world wide.
On Iraq TV, they are showing a video of Saddam meeting with his staff. Attending the meeting was women who
is a weapons of mass destruction scientist who has been put in charge of a sector of Iraq. It is feared that
she would use WMD against us.
The technology that we use is amazing. Last night we spotted a group of trucks in a sandstorm. We were then
able to hit it with percision weapons. We would never be able to do that before, its just amazing what we
can do.

What the heck is this? This goes up as one for the pro-war. You don't go putting stuff up like this. What's
makes it more sketchy is the fact its not at all like the World Trade Centers and the plane is Iraqi Airlines.
The 173rd AB
have siezed, via airborne drop, a northern Iraq air field. This air field will probably serve to deploy
troops in the Kurdish area and may even serve as a close air support base.

The Medina Divison is receiving
reinforcments from Baghdad as Republican Guard
units are leaving Baghdad. Wether they are attacking, surrendering, or evacuating the city so that chemical
weapons can be used there has yet to be seen. It wouldn't surprise me if it was to evacuate the city, because
Saddam is just crazy enough to do that. To play devil's advacate, we arn't in Baghdad so how would Saddam
benefit from gassing his most supportive people?
The traitor that fragged his commanders may be charged with treason and mutiny, both carry the death sentence.
22 of the 66 codes of military conduct were broken by the dirt bag.
A CNN, USA Today poll says that 68% of the people support the war, while only 34% see the war as going
very well. The majority think it is going ok. That is down from the 50 some % who a week ago said the war
was going very well.
So far we have 27 American deaths, 20 British. Thats more than we had in the first Gulf War, but we also
wern't fighting in Iraq in the Gulf War. And the Iraqi's were fighting as fair as they ever had then.

The 3-3 Marines were hit last night
by 8-12 Iraqi tanks while bedding down last night. Suffering 1 death, the 3-3
held off the Iraqis in a all night fight.
The 2-8 Marines have secured
bridges around Nasiriya but have not taken the city. It seems that the overall strategy is to isolate
cities but not secure them unitl we have taken Baghdad. That way the majority of urban conflict is in
the Iraqi capitol.

Heavy smoke in Baghdad after strikes "preping the batllefield." It looks like the Ministry of Information
was hit, which means no more exciting press confrences like this:
So I was just watching CNN and they were showing a clip of the
15th MEU engaging Iraqi forces in civilian clothes outside Umm Qasr. An ambulance pulled up to where
they Marines where taking fire and you hear a few soldiers holler "Careful, this might be a trap!" I feel
for these soldiers, they are trying there hardest to spare civilian causulties, but can't because the Iraqi's
are fighting cheap.
On the eastern front, the 1 MEF
has slowed down and are topping of their ammo and gas. Looks like the Marines will be fighting for
Baghdad soon.
The wild card so far has been the 82nd AB
and the 101st AA. Not a lot
of reports on where the two units are. The mobility of the two can put them anywhere in Iraq withen hours
of the go order. They are also light units, not a lot of armor and are built to be able to survive on their
own for a short period of time. This whould be the unit I would us in an attack on Baghdad. This could
be like the left hook of the first Gulf War.
In the United Nations it looks like France and Russia are blocking the discussion of the "Oil for Food"
relief in Iraq. They say that this might be veiwed as a justifacation of the war. Lets recap: France
and Russia fight for peace before we invade. Then it turns out they sold and maybe selling equipment to
Iraq. Now they want to block aid to Iraq. I think as American's we should be proud to have such great allies.
What appears to be an uprising has taken
place in Basra. Basra is still in the hands of the Iraqi's and I can imagine the British are ready to jump
all over this. The Iraqi forces in the city have used mortars on their own people in an effort to squash
the uprising.

The Saudi's are offering a
peace proposel. It won't help, the United States is too set on getting rid of Saddam and Saddam is set on
staying in power. The only peace Bush will opt for is the peace of mind knowing that Iraqi's are going to get
food and medical help and not be ruled by a tyrant who uses chemical weapons on his own people and kills off
his enemies in the goverment.
Posted at 3:52pm by Andrew H
With all the fighting in Basra it has become
a legitimate military target which means that the battle for Basra is reopened and that we could possibily
see bombing missions and cruise missile attacks on the city. Also, the 3rd infantry is across the Euphrates\
river and we could be in Baghdad fighting by the end of Thursday.
If we do bomb the city of Basra, it could
turn ugly. If the Iraqi's really do have those GPS Jammers, supplied via the Russians, then the bombs or
cruise missiles could hit anything.
The battle for Baghdad is nearing as coalition aircraft pounded
Republican Guard units on the out skirts of the capitol. If we were to fight in Baghdad the role of our
air support would be smaller because we are afraid of hitting civilian targets. Also, we don't know how
effective AAA in Baghdad is, so if we send in helo's like the Apache or Cobra, they might be shot down. It
will be interesting to see how the battle plays out. My guess is that we will take lots of causulities but
"secure" the east bank on Friday and the west bank next Wednsday. I put secure in quotes because as we have
seen in Basra and other southern cities, nothing is really secure. As usual, I won't be posting anymore this
morning. Next update will be after 2:00pm.

I want to say that I was just waiting for the Pentagon to release something that they had found the smoking
gun, like it was reported on foxnews, but instead I was writting an english essay on Romeo and Juliet. It
seems that it was a WMD plant, it was sand-casted which means the building has sand pilled onto it so that
it cannot be spotted by satelite. Still, though, no conformation from the Pentagon or CentCom. More updates
as they come.
03.22.03
To all you peace people out there who say that the Iraqi's havn't done anything to us? Has Osama bin
Laden? Infact most of you peace loving people supported our invasion of Afghanistan because we were
going after Osama in the process. The Iraqi's have the ansar al-Islam terror group who have ties to both
Osama and Saddam. Today they killed Paul Moran, try telling his family that Saddam doesn't support terror.

From Lt Smash. The current thought is that an American soldier
is responsible for the attack on the command tent at camp Pennsylvania. Now we know that Lt. Smash is
in Kuwait, and we know that he isn't in Iraq. Read this and draw your own conclusions.
The notable exception is a guy that I will call "Tom." Tom volunteered to come here. I'm always happy to
have another volunteer, but I had to wonder why he chose to leave his own "safe" unit to come halfway
around the world and perform a somewhat dangerous mission. I suspected that he was running away from
something. As it turns out, Tom has a whole menu of personal issues, including a recent painful divorce,
a run-in with law enforcement, and a diagnosed case of clinical depression.
Tom was acting strangely, and was displaying a little bit of a short temper that surfaced under stressful
conditions. I asked a few of his fellow augmentees if they had any insights into his behavior, and that's
when the stories started to emerge.
(Memo to the personnel folks back in the rear: please don't send me anyone who will create more work for
me than he actually performs).
Tom had stopped taking his medication, because he "ran out and couldn't get a refill."
I sent him to a doc for a psych eval. The doc said to "keep him away from the weapons" until he has
"stabilized" and could be "re-evaluated." Needless to say, this somewhat limits his usefulness in a
potential war zone. In the meantime, I've found a "safe" job for him to do, and continue to evaluate
his behavior. He seems to be improving, but how can I be sure he won't suddenly regress?
David Shuster, for MSNBC, says that the soldier who rolled the grenades was left behind in Kuwait because
he was not mentally stable enough to go into combat.
During the Vietnam war soldiers whould frag commanders. If the commander did something
the soldier didn't like he would roll a grenade in the commander's tent. It was an epidemic over there
for a while.
To retired General Bernard Traner this brought up memories of his expirence in Vietnam like soldiers fragging
commanders.
Saddam Hussein is seen being placed on a stretcher and into an ambulance in photographs in
the possession of the U.S. government showing what is described as "panicked digging" at the
bunker/command-and-control facility that was struck in the first strike of the war March 19, U.S. officials
told Fox News late Friday.

The bomber drove up in a taxi and detonated the device, killing himself and a journalist filming nearby.
The other dead were Kurdish peshmerga fighters.
Nine people who were injured have been taken to hospital in Sulaymaniyah.
The area where the bombing happened is controlled by an Islamist group known as Komola.

Subj: BLASTING OPERATIONS IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD
You may have noted some blasting noises and disconcerting rumbling of the ground in your general vicinity over the past several hours. Do not be alarmed, these shock waves are the result of a long-planned demolition and urban renewal project for the greater Baghdad area.
Should you become concerned that these vibrations are coming a little bit too close for comfort, here are some steps that you can take for your own protection:
Bend over,
Grab your ankles,
Put your head between your legs, and
Kiss your ass good-bye.
We apologize for any inconvenience this vital public works project may cause. Please be assured that it will be completed within a reasonably short period of time.
Sincerely,
L.T. Smash
I've been reading Where is Raed for a the in depth story of what is going on. Raed lives
in Baghdad and posts every day on what going on. Here is an exerpt from his latest post:
Last night was very quiet in Baghdad. Today in the morning I went out to get bread and groceries. There were no Ba’ath party people stopping us from leaving the area where we live, this apparently happens after the evening prayers. But they are still everywhere. The streets are empty only bakeries are open and some grocery shops charging 4 times the normal prices, while I was buying bread a police car stopped in front of the bakery and asked the baker if they had enough flour and asked when they opened; the baker told me that they have been informed that they must open their shops and they get flour delivered to them daily. Groceries, meat and dairy products are a different story. One dairy product company seems to be still operating, not state owned, and their cars were going around the city distributing butter, cheese and yoghurt to any open markets. Meat is not safe to buy because you wouldn’t know from where and how it got to the shops. Anyway we bought fresh tomatoes and zucchini for 1000 dinar a kilo which would normally be 250. and most amazingly the garbage car came around.
The Iraqi Satellite Channel is not broadcasting anymore. The second youth TV channel (it shows Egyptian soaps in the morning and sports afterwards) also stopped transmitting. This leaves two channels: Iraq TV and Shabab (youth) TV. They are still full of patriotic songs and useless “news”, they love the French here. We also saw the latest Sahaf show on Al-Jazeera and Iraq TV, and the most distressing minister of Interior affairs with his guns. Freaks. Hurling abuse at the world is the only thing left for them to do.
Very interesting if you ask me.

This war is very different from the war that people thought we would fight. Taking into account that this
war started before, it seems, that we were planning. The target of opportunity, Saddam and his staff,
pushed H-Hour up, but so far this war is a mix of the conflicts that we have fought in since 1985.
Operation Just Cause, the invasion of Panama, involved primarily special forces hunting down Norega and the
United States is sending in a lot of special forces according to MSNBC, FNC, and CNN. The United States is
using large units in a traditional sense to take the southern port city of Umm Qasr. Much like what we saw
in both Afghanistan and Iraq the use of Tomahawk cruise missiles is prevalent. The Special Forces are most
likely operating north of Basra and west of Baghdad, and the traditional units are most likely going to go
from Basra up the Euphrates and Tigris rivers to Baghdad and then onto Tikrit. The United States will then
use airborne troops to secure cities that are not along the rivers. While the troops are moving, the "shock
and awe" bombings will hit Baghdad and suspected WMD sites to clear the way for the ground troops. That is
just my opinion of how the troops will be used.
Word out of the Pentagon is that the target was Saddam and all the MSNBC experts agree that they would
only do this if they had multiple conformation. The plane used in the strike was a F-117 armed with
a 2000 pound bunker-buster bomb. Although, like with most combat actions the information coming out
of Iraq is jumbled, so it might be the package that I said it was earlier. Reports out of Iraq is that
the bombs landed north west of Baghdad, the location of one of his palaces. Barring a major devolpment,
this is Andrew H for www.belly-flop.net signing off.
10:54pm
Bush gave the permission for this operation between 7 and 7:30 tonight, went home, at 9:45 he gave the speech
and after that he went back to the residence. The plan was brought before Bush by Rumsfeld after the
third Nation Security meeting today.
10:39pm
It seems that either a drone spotted this target or the discontent in side the regime has caused some
people to leak stuff to us. It was a target of oppertunity, the British have come out and said that
they are shocked. It will be interesting to see if the main attack, and the original plan is moved up
or if we will wait for the original D-Day.
10:23pm
The bombing may not of started tonight, except for the fact that the a target of oppertunity presented
itself. Thats the reason we struck in the daylight and not at night. This was something that was planned
on the go and the strike aircraft were probably already airborn before they got this order to attack.
10:08pm
10:05, you can here the jets, but still don't see them. The waves that we have sent contain B-1, B-2,
F-117, B-52 and other aircraft from three carriers in the Gulf and Med. Also, MSNBC is saying that there are special forces that are
on the ground in Iraq now, that are doing sabatoge missions, which means they are probobly securing the
dams and oil fields from Saddam's Republican gaurds from destroying them.
09:58pm
According to MSNBC Operation Liberty Sheild started at 9:32pm(est) with the flights of EA-6 electronic
jamming aircraft. The President will be addressing the nation at 10:15. More Ack-Ack, lots of AAA
flashes both on ground and in the dawn sky, but we have seen no aircraft or bombs. If the EA-6 are
up there, most of these AAA guns are firing blind, so it wouldn't surprise me if there are no aircraft,
but these gunners are scarred and firing randomly.
09:47pm
9:42 - Iraq anti-aircraft fire, its almost dawn there, no signs of American or British aircraft and
no bombs being dropped at this point. Bush is going to adress the press corp soon, stay tuned with
belly-flop.net for updates through out the night.

Looks like Blair has the support of parliament. A motion backing the government's
position was passed by 412 votes to 149. That's good, England will be next in line
with Iraq, and it looks like France will even join the fight if Iraq uses WMD. Don't
doubt for a second that he won't either.
Plan A : Use Iraqi civilians as shields for members of the Iraqi army
(read that to mean the Republican Guard). By placing members of the Guard in
small villages and towns among the people, he will force the American military to
hesitate, knowing they don't want to harm civilians. The soldiers of the Guard would
literally use civilians just like sandbags to shield themselves from American weapons
fire as they attack. Saddam figures this will cause a very high civilian casualty count,
something he'll be able to use to show the world how cruel and merciless the invading
Americans are. Never mind that such a tactic violates the Geneva Convention.
Plan B : If plan A doesn't work, then he will use chemical weapons against the advancing
American forces. However, it isn't likely that he'll do this too early in the campaign
because then his actions will show that he's been lying to the UN. He'll wait until
there is some desperate battle and will then unleash his weapons, claiming that the
Americans forced him into using them. He is hoping to cause a large number of
American casualties, which will cause the American public to pressure President
Bush to withdraw our troops. Of course, such weapons will probably kill many Iraqi
civilians, but Saddam will be able to use a variation of the same claims as in Plan A.
Plan C : If it looks like Plan A and B fail and that American forces are closing in on him,
he will doff his uniform, trim his mustache, cut his hair, and don traditional Arab garb.
He will then slip away amongst the Iraqi populace to go underground. He'll pull an Osama
bin Laden with the hopes of regaining power in the future.
I don't think this is all to far fetched either. Saddam certainly is that crazy.
tick tock tick tock
05:27pm
Operation Liberty Shield, what a fitting name. After all, Saddam hasn't done anything
directly against us. This war is to shield us and our allies from a direct attack
carried out by him or the terrorists he supports. In other news, the Iraqi people came
out onto the streets of Baghdad in a government staged protest against America.
I think that it is great that at least the majority of the people have one thing in common
with the Iraqi people, the fact that they love to insult America and our leaders. Here in
the western world people hold up signs comparing Bush to Hitler and in the middle east
people hold up American flags burning. Both great acts of anti-Americanism. There is
nothing different from comparing the elected leader of America to Hitler and the
actual burning of the flag. Please folks, put down the signs and think of better things
to do with your time. Maybe donate blood or food, volunteer someplace helping needy children.
Just don't spend days on end insulting my leader and my country.
03.17.03 08:54pm
Good speech, I think. President Bush did a good job laying out why we need to go to war if Saddam doesn't leave Iraq
with his sons within the next 48 hours. He also did a good job, in my opinion, pleading with the Iraqi soldiers to just
sit there and wait for us to come by and take them as prisoners of war until we find Saddam. He also talked about how
the Iraqi soldiers couldn't hide behind war crimes by saying they were just following orders. The parallel between Nazi
Germany in the late 30's and Iraq in 2003 is a bit much in some cases, but is very true in others. I am talking to a very
smart, anti-war friend, who used this argument:
Iraq might possibly in 5 years disrupt the balance of peace in the world, so we should do it now?
Well, Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia in '39 did Europe stop him? No, of course not, it was a small episode of violence.
Except within 2 years he had all of Europe under his thumb and was executing Jews in camps. Who knows what Saddam
will do in five years?
Overall it was a good speech, he laid it all out there, lets just wait and see what happens.
Tick Tock Tick Tock
06:42pm
No more "mellow" yellow. Back up to "scary" orange.
04:08pm
And it begins. The time for Iraq to disarm is over. Done. No more. Saddam has had since 1991 to disarm or at least
pretend to, but no time is up. The United Nations, they had their chance, but the Axis of Weasels wanted more time
for these inspectors to take a road trip around Iraq.
"Inspection teams do not need more time or more personnel. All they need is what they have never received -- the full cooperation of the Iraqi regime."
To qoute Bush from his last big press confrence, and from Ari Flecher at todays daily breifing:
"He [George Bush] will say that to avoid military conflict Saddam Hussein must leave the country"
And its not likely that will happen any time soon. Combine that with the fact that the United Nations are moving all their
personell out of Iraq, how long do we have until the 101 or the 82 are in Iraq trying to round up the fleeing Iraqi soldiers.
Forgot about the NCAA office pool, how about another contest. How long will it take to get Saddam?
And a friendly reminder from the Belly-Flop.net staff. Drink

I'm not feeling so great, so looks like there won't any posts. And don't count on any posts tommorow until
late, I have a mock trial event. We are in the sweet 16 round of the Mass Bar Tourny and won't be happy
without another state championship. We've won 12 out of the last 18, and this year will be lucky 13 baby!

No wonder French doesn't want the United States to go to war with Iraq right now.
A French company has been selling spare
aircraft parts to Iraq. No really, its smart stragety for the French company, because they
know that Iraq will be facing the United States military soon, so they better cash in now while
the demand is high.
Oh yeah, for a good laugh go out and pick up Jimmy Fallon's
Bathroom Wall CD
05:27pm
Looks like were all wrong about the United States invading Iraq on Monday. The deadline proposed by Britian and the
United States is for the 17th, a whole two weeks away. The Axis of Weasels continue to say that the inspectors need more
time, as if two weeks isn't enough. As Bush said last night five or six times
"Saddam has had 12 years to disarm!"
It seems as though the United States and England will be the only countries endorsing this latest proposel as the ranks of
the Axis of Weasels grow.
When will the countries wake up and relize the blatent lies that the Iraqi's are telling them. Iraqi Ambassador Mohammed Al-Douri said
His country [Iraq] has no weapons of mass destruction.
So how did you gas the Kurds will chemical weapons when you don't have them? And then Hans Blix said
Iraq had recently provided additional documentation on anthrax and the VX nerve agent
So, how can the UN not see that Iraq is lying about not having stuff when they admit they do only a few days before?
The Weasles:
France
Germany
Russia
China
Chile
Angola
Pakistan is an honarable mention, because it does not support our war but is really helping us shut down
al Qaeda.
03.06.03 04:22pm
Time is running out for Saddam after tonights speech. Bush used language like Saddam had a chance to disarm
and spoke as if the invasion was upcoming, within the next week. On a question about the protests from the Axis of Weasels
about the inspectors not having enough time Bush said
"Inspection teams do not need more time or more personnel. All they need is what they have never received -- the full
cooperation of the Iraqi regime."
He also responded to the fact that Iraq is destroying one or two missiles at a time with
"Token gestures are not acceptable. The only acceptable outcome is the one already defined by a unanimous
vote of the Security Council: total disarmament."
One of Bush's majors points during the speech was that Iraq does pose an immediate threat to us saying
"We love freedom and we're not changing"
and
"When it comes to our security, we really don't need anybody's permission."
President Bush also spoke about post-Saddam Iraq having the following comments
"We will bring food and medicine to the Iraqi people. We will help that nation to build a just government
after decades of
brutal dictatorship."
"The form and leadership of that government is for the Iraqi people to choose. Anything they choose will be
better than the
misery and torture and murder they have known under Saddam Hussein."
Even if you disagree with Bush about going to war with Iraq you will see from tonights speech, though, that
he is not a war hound and that he is doing what he sees as best for our country and its foreign interests.
You also can't aruge that if the intelligence that Bush has shows that Iraq has Weapons of Mass Destruction
that it isn't a risk to us here in America, or in Israel, Europe or the Middle East.
Yesterday, a Hamas suicide bomber blew up himself and 15 Israelis, most of whom were kids. It was a horrible tragedy
and the deaths weren't even for a cause. Hamas would have you believe that they are trying to get rid of Israel so that
Palestine will be the way it was before they were brushed aside by the United Nations. They aren't doing that though, the
Palestine Authority is but Hamas is not. Hamas is like al Qaeda, they hide behind a cause and use it to kill others.
That does not give Israel the right to kill eleven Palestinians and wound over a hundred. Israel is fighting not against
the terrorists anymore but against all of Palestine. The Israeli Defense Force is making no distinction between the poor,
starved Palestinians in the refugee camps and the Palestinians who are a part of Hamas. The least that Israel could of done
was waited and gathered intelligence. A refugee camp is supposed to be a place where people are safe and can live, not
where they are constantly threatened and killed.
In the beginning of incursion into Northern Gaza the operation was fine. The IDF moved in, received fire from
gunman and returned it. There is nothing wrong with that. After that some trigger happy tank crew fired a shell into a
crowed of Palestinians, killing eight and wounding much more. Witnesss’ report that nobody was armed. That is when the
IDF stepped over the line. You are in a tank, you know that there are more IDF soldiers near by, there is
no need to make a reckless shot into a crowed.
After September 11th, 2002 many people looked at all Muslims as terrorists. Thankfully, not all are.
In fact, out of the millions of Muslims in the world, only a small percentage are terrorists. In
Palestine, it is the same way. Everyone in Palestine is Arab, but not everybody is a member of Hamas.
Hamas makes up a small amount of the population, so why is Israeli retaliating against these people as
a whole. When the United States invaded Germany during World War Two we didn't massacre the Germans,
we sought out those in the Nazi party and dealt with them on a case by case bases depending on the acts
the committed.
There is no need for Israel to act irrationally, either. The least they could of done was waited a few
days and gather intelligence on the location of the Hamas members they are going to go after. Maybe
Israel could of waited, maybe they couldn't have but when ever you invade a hostile territory you need
to know your targets and there locations.
Israel should of held off and handled this a lot different. They should of got intelligence on who and where the target
of the operation was. They should of defined more strict rules of engagement, and they should have been able to distinct
between an armed gun man toting a gun and a group of people standing around watching what was happening.
02:59pm
When are the Israelis going to realize that you can't keep killing Palestinians over and over again every
time Hamas blows themselves up? The Israelis need to work the PLO to hunt down these terrorists instead of
constantly killing more Palestinians. Somebody also needs to teach the Israelis that you don't have tanks
go into refugee camps and open up. That's it, I am so fed up, here comes my first essay for this site.
Expect it about in about an hour or two.
01:52pm
"Ok let’s just say for a moment you bunch of pampered, overpaid, unrealistic children had your way and the U.S.A. didn’t go into Iraq.
Let’s say that you really get your way and we destroy all our nuclear weapons and stick daisies in our gun barrels and sit around with some white wine and cheese and pat ourselves on the back, so proud of what we’ve done for world peace.
Let’s say that we cut the military budget to just enough to keep the National Guard on hand to help out with floods and fires.
Let’s say that we close down our military bases all over the world and bring the troops home, increase our foreign aid and drop all the trade sanctions against everybody.
I suppose that in your fantasy world this would create a utopian world where everybody would live in peace. After all, the great monster, the United States of America, the cause of all the world’s trouble would have disbanded it’s horrible military and certainly all the other countries of the world would follow suit.
After all, they only arm themselves to defend their countries from the mean old U.S.A.
Why you bunch of pitiful, hypocritical, idiotic, spoiled mugwumps. Get your head out of the sand and smell the Trade Towers burning. Do you think that a trip to Iraq by Sean Penn did anything but encourage a wanton murderer to think that the people of the U.S.A. didn’t have the nerve or the guts to fight him?
Barbra Streisand’s fanatical and hateful rankings about George Bush makes about as much sense as Michael Jackson hanging a baby over a railing.
You people need to get out of Hollywood once in a while and get out into the real world. You’d be surprised at the hostility you would find out here.
Stop in at a truck stop and tell an overworked, long distance truck driver that you don’t think Saddam Hussein is doing anything wrong.
Tell a farmer with a couple of sons in the military that you think the United States has no right to defend itself.
Go down to Baxley, Georgia and hold an anti-war rally and see what the folks down there think about you.
You people are some of the most disgusting examples of a waste of protoplasm I’ve ever had the displeasure to hear about.
Sean Penn, you’re a traitor to the United States of America. You gave aid and comfort to the enemy. How many American lives will your little, "fact finding trip" to Iraq cost? You encouraged Saddam to think that we didn’t have the stomach for war.
You people protect one of the most evil men on the face of this earth and won’t lift a finger to save the life of an unborn baby. Freedom of choice you say?
Well I’m going to exercise some freedom of choice of my own. If I see any of your names on a marquee, I’m going to boycott the movie. I will completely stop going to movies if I have to. In most cases it certainly wouldn’t be much of a loss.
You scoff at our military who’s boots you’re not even worthy to shine. They go to battle and risk their lives so ingrates like you can live in luxury.
The day of reckoning is coming when you will be faced with the undeniable truth that the war against Saddam Hussein is the war on terrorism.
America is in imminent danger. You’re either for her or against her. There is no middle ground.

Bush is going to hold a press conference tonight
at 7 to announce his ultimatum to Iraq. It will
most likely be that Iraq has to show us everything
now, and Saddam has to step down or something
crazy like that, something that Saddam just won't
do. He will probably give Saddam a 72 hour area
of time to comply. And after those 72 hours we will
invade. That would go along with what the British
are leaking. The Daily Telegraph says that the
British and Americans are going to invade Monday.
For some reason, I believe that this is a bit too
openly discussed. Iraq has WMD's, so if we say
we are going to invade Monday, wouldn't that
give Saddam the chance to use his WMD's sometime
Monday before we invade in a pre-emptive strike?
I think that instead of this being a real story I think
it might be a decoy to maybe see what Saddam's
defense's are going to be. It is pretty hard to picture
no one in Iraq reading this, so somebody has to know
what the British are saying. Its just too openly
discussed for this to be the actual invasion coming up.
Sorry for the lack of updates. Been busy today with Mock Trials and a dentist appointment. Don't
expect any updates next Tuesday either, I have a Mock Trial trial.

David Ortiz, of the Red Sox, who was a favorite target of practical jokes by Minnesota manager Ron
Gardenhire and teammates while with the Twins, showed up in their clubhouse wearing an orange Lee County
Jail jump suit after finishing the first half of the Red Sox's 6-5 loss March 3. Somebody had taken Ortiz's
street clothes from his stall in the visitor's clubhouse and replaced them with the jail suit.

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed's capture
is a step in the right direction. We
are slowing knocking off al Qaeda's
leaders, much like mossad hunted down
Nazi's in Argentina after World War
Two. But Osama bin Laden is still
out there, but without any of his chief
lieutenants it kind of limits his options.
bin Laden is thought to be in the
mountains between Afghanistan and
Pakistan. We here at www.belly-flop.net
believe that bin Laden isn't even close
to Afghanistan. I would put my money
on Osama being in the Philippines with
all those other Muslim terror groups.

United States sending lone range bombers to South Pacific, in range of both North Korea and
Iraq. More details soon.

Ari Fleischer said that Israel has the right to defend
itself, but added, "We have concerns about actions
that go beyond and that bring harm to the innocent,
including innocent Palestinians."
Well, does kidnapping count as brining harm to innocent
Palestinians? I have no problem with Israel rounding up
the leaders of Hamas, not at all, in fact I applaud them for
it. But taking the sons of leaders isn't much better than
what Hamas is doing to them.
Members of the bin Laden family live in my town, and
from what I hear they are incredibly nice. But I don't
see the FBI rounding them up and using them to get to
big brother Osama.

60,000 more United States troops are being sent to the gulf.
Ok, so what's the big deal? right. The big deal is that these
troops are from the 1st Calvary division and the 1st armored
division. The 1st Air Calvary unit is the main helicopter force
in the army and is now going to play a much bigger role in the
up coming war.
Since Turkey has decided not to allow American forces into
Turkey we have gone to plan B. Plan B calls for air units,
such as the famed 101st airborne and the 82nd airborne, along
with the 1st cavalry to be deployed into Northern Iraq via
helicopter and air drop. This will create the presence we wanted
in northern Iraq so that Saddam will not mass his people in the
south around Baghdad.

The Los Angles Clippers fired their head coach this morning after an embarrassing loss. The men who should
have been fired are the owners. They continually drain money out of the franchise into there pockets and
refuse to pay there players what they are worth. In fact, everyone on the team has admitted that they don’t
play for the team, they play so they get good stats and can get good free-agency money. Now why are the
owners blaming the coach? The fans that do go to Clippers games should just boycott the worst owned sports
franchise. I hate the Clippers owners for what they’ve done almost as much as I hate the Yankees for what
they have done to baseball.

The Cat Who Didn't Stop The Rain (It's time for the Amish
Tech Support Blog A Day Tour!)
We went to the bookstore yesterday, and I got a copy of the new Lilian
Jackson Braun book "The Cat Who Brought Down the House." I didn't know that
this book had been out for almost a month, which makes me wonder what those
mailing lists I signed up for on Barnes and Noble, Border's and Amazon to
tell me about new releases are good for. I've told them the authors I'm
interested in, but apparently, they want to use that information to try to
sell me things to make my various appendages harder for longer.
Chalk one up for the Disinformation Age, where you can get everything but
what you're really interested in sent to you automatically and
inefficiently.
So, I've got the book, and I am a happy camper. I like the Qwilleran/Pickax
stories. We've got a whole shelf in the den with the whole series on it.
This would be the perfect book to read on the porch to start off the week.
It's raining. It's that kind of rain that is dripping in enough directions
to prevent the use of the patio umbrella to read outside without getting
wet. My wife would get really mad if I got this book wet before she got a
chance to read it.
I was really looking forward to reading this book outside instead of reading
it in the bathtub.

Israel is going after Hamas leadership, arresting the founder and several senior activist last night. It
is smart that Israel is finally making the distinction between the PLO and Hamas. Instead of bombing the
PLO’s security forces, they hit the terrorists. I still think that Israel needs to make an effort not to
blow up homes and kill pregnant woman during these raids, but I am happy that they are getting the terrorists.
Even if I believe Israel has been the problem since they launched a pre-emptive strike against Egypt, they
are doing a great job of not being run into the ocean.
